The entire speech is one amazing LeaningOnTheFourthWall because of course the Doctor [[spoiler:''isn't'' real, he's a fictional character in a TV show - but that doesn't stop him from doing exactly what the Doctor ''wants'' to do - provide hope and inspiration to real people, and show them all the wonders of time and space]].

* A small one for Nardole. [[spoiler: He figured out the world was a computer simulation without having to read the Veritas.]]

* Bill being key to defeating the Monks, as [[spoiler: her memories of her mother overwhelm the Monks' psychic field, freeing the world of their control and forcing them to flee]].

* Godsacre standing up to Iraxxa and being willing to die to save his men after [[spoiler:executing Catchlove]], redeeming himself for being a deserter.

* Nardole's hilarious "Is that windmill important?" demonstration, and the brainstorm [[spoiler: of hacking the ship's gas lines]] that made the trick work.

** The speech manages to get through to Missy, who decides that if she's going to die, she's going out with the Doctor - best friends, together, at the end. [[spoiler:Unfortunately she dies before she can help.]]

* A villainous one for the Cybermen; after 50 years of being in the Daleks' shadow, in this episode they managed to do the one thing that no other foe has ever done directly, kill the Doctor. And what’s more, this was their first encounter with him.

* One must give props to the Daleks as well. 300 years where most of the Doctor's other enemies just gave up in their siege, and only the insane, murdering, pepper pots of death never gave up trying to kill the Doctor. Nobody can say they aren't determined.

* The Doctor is dangerous in general. The War Doctor is '''even more dangerous'''. The ''TARDIS'', however, is capable of '''''decapitating Daleks''''' officially making her ''the deadliest thing on Gallifrey at that very moment.''.

** By 300 years everyone else had given up; who knows how many centuries later, the Eleventh Doctor is ''dying of old age'' and the pepper pots of doom are still at it. {{Determinator}}, thy name is Dalek.

** Credit where it's due to the deranged pepper pots - they ''are'' winning when the Doctor interferes.

* The noise the TARDIS makes when she takes off is loud. Donna is ''louder''.

* At the end of the previous episode an arrow is impaled in the door of the TARDIS. Human beings cannot survive the Time Vortex without the TARDIS... but, apparently, arrows ''can.''

* The Doctor does what he does best - ''fucks up all the shit''. He reveals himself as having changed back into a Time Lord and blows the Family's ship up.

* The TARDIS ''works properly'' (well, as properly as she ever has) after being ''shot at with a barrage of bullets.''

* Malcom becomes an AscendedFanboy when he meets his idol, the Doctor. Then he gets to save the world with said idol, who not only thinks that he's a genius, but calls him "[his] new best friend".

* The Doctor points out a small but significant detail to the Master: "That guard is one inch too tall." Then Rossiter cold-cocks the Master with his rifle)

* The TARDIS ''crashes into the ground'' and still works by the end of the episode.

** Note - River has ''a lot of hair'' so that has to be an ''enormous towel''.

* The Doctor, stranded on a junkyard planet in a bubble universe, builds a new TARDIS to escape with his TARDIS in a human body. Doctor Who, the ''only'' show in the world where you can say that line with a straight face!

* The Doctor ''blows up a spacefleet'', materialises the TARDIS around Rory (who is on said exploding spacefleet!) and does all this within the span of about five seconds...

* When the Slitheen were about to go for Rose, Harriet Jones leaps out from her cover yelling "Take me first!" A tremedous show of courage.

* Courtesy of a bit of FridgeHorror and FridgeBrilliance. At the end of their three months on the run in 1969, Rory has over ''twice'' the number of tally marks on his body, implying that he's been dealing with the Silence on a nearly ''daily'' basis. This means one of two things: either he's either been ''really'' unlucky... or the Silence consider him the ''largest'' threat, even more so than River, and have been sending wave after wave of {{Mook}}s in a desperate bid to eliminate him.

** This is also a Fridge [=MoA=] for Oswin as wiping the Daleks' memory of the Doctor, and thus their fear of him is probably the most catastrophic blow ever struck to the Daleks, as now the single biggest factor in why the Daleks were ever so powerful and dangerous has been removed.

* Clara jumping into the Doctor's timestream, reincarnating herself throughout time and space to protect him from the Great Intelligence. Among other things, she advises the First Doctor on which TARDIS to steal. To save her, the Doctor jumps in after her, crossing his own timestream.
** FridgeBrilliance: This means that Clara managed to completely thwart the Great Intelligence at every single instant of the Doctor's more than thousand-year-old life. BadassNormal at its finest.
*** The Expanded Universe book "The Forgotten Son" eventually revealed that Clara's success at thwarting him caused the Great Intelligence to jump ship entirely.

** It's subtle here, but it's an awesome moment crossed with a HeartwarmingMoment with some [[FridgeBrilliance Fridge Awesome]] in hindsight. The Doctor would not have gone against Jackie's wishes, as he personally did not want to be responsible for any harm that would come to her daughter, and Harriet realised he did not want the burden of Rose's blood on his hands, so she ordered him to commence his plan on behalf of the British people by virtue of her being the highest ranking legitimate governing authority present, thus pinning all the blame on herself if everything went wrong.

* Sarah Jane comes in to the adventure ''unarmed'' - and we're not kidding, she comes in with nothing but the clothes on her back, her brain and a broken robot dog. Guess what? She is ''still alive'' and ''unharmed'' at the end of it all.

* Clara is saying the Doctor she knows will come for her no matter, what holding out a hand waiting...and then a hand moves into hers and pulls her back. One of the "robots" peels off his face to show the Doctor just as his new theme music kicks in.

* In the same vein as "The Night of the Doctor" confirming the Creator/BigFinish audios as canon with the show, "Time Heist" confirmed ''Magazine/DoctorWhoMagazine'' as canon with a cameo of Abslom Daak on a wanted poster.

* Danny [[WhatTheHellHero calls the Doctor out for treating the situation with the killer alien robot casually]]. Then he learns [[AristocratsAreEvil the Doctor is a]] [[AristocratsAreEvil Time ''Lord'']], [[AristocratsAreEvil one of the "aristocracy" who starts conflicts]], and begins to address the Doctor as a superior officer, knowing that it will provoke his anger. Anger that Danny doesn't even flinch from, a considerable feat given the formidable performance by (and [[BigOlEyebrows aggressive eyebrows]] of) Creator/PeterCapaldi. Danny Pink stands his ground confronting an alien with obviously superior tech on said alien's home turf.

** Her reveal as well should give special credit:

* Davros, whilst dying and confined to a life support machine, still manages to steal the spotlight as the episode's BigBad. He verbally challenges the Doctor's morals, using the Doctor's past actions against him and then reduces the Doctor to a begging mess when Missy and Clara are exterminated.

* The Doctor riding into the Dalek's control room, in [[CrazyAwesome Davros's chair.]]

* Davros' plan is pretty awesome in itself. He gives a performance so good, it makes sense that so many of the Kaled scientists over the years never realised what he was planning.

* Clara's reverse hacking of Bonnie's psychic link

** Clara also took advantage of her PsychicLink with Bonnie to tell the Doctor she was safe. She did so by taking control of Bonnie's hand and using it to send a text to the Doctor. She made it without having Bonnie noticing it ''and'' without looking at her phone, and despite that she got the text right and sent it to the right number.

All of the suffering."]] The Doctor's response very calm [[ShutUpHannibal "No, I'm not".]] This continues this way with the Doctor remaining completely unmoved, after years of watching him take in every WhatTheHellHero speech given to him even if the person giving it is ObviouslyEvil it's satisfying to see him finally ignore one.

'''Grant:''' "[[HeartwarmingMoments Sorry. Instinct. I couldn't let go of this.]]" ''(revealing Baby Monitor in left hand)''

* The Doctor working out the tragedy that took place at the colony and pre-empting a war between the humans and the Vardy. Though he wasn't able to save ''everyone'' but he was able to cut the first battle short and lay the groundwork for peace by acting as a negotiator.

* Eliza usurping control of the insects from the Landlord is not only impressive in and of itself but how quickly she gets a hold of it.

* The Doctor saves the day tying his and the other's vital signs to the core's stabilizing systems and thus forces the suits' puppeteer to not only back off, but give them extra oxygen. He does this while totally blind in both eyes.

* The Doctor gets a group of would-be executioners to flee by telling them to look him up. Their Fatality Index sounds like it is shorting out trying to count how many fatalities the Doctor has caused, alone, and unarmed.

* The Doctor is tied to a wheelchair, as the Master and Missy plot his demise. How does he turn the tables? He doesn't; He already altered the Cybermen's programming to, or as he put it, "put [Time Lords] on the menu."

* The Doctor gets one not only for rescuing Journey at the last second, but when she's threatening him with a gun, he doesn't even bat an eye and flat out, calmly tells her that that is not how you ask for something. He actually gets her to back down and ask for help politely.

* Clara uses her recently acquired HollywoodHacking abilities to bypass the computer security of the BigBad and instead use the lower-level security of the laptops to snap shots of all of the employees, and then use recognition software to locate their place of work.
