* It's downplayed, by The Assassin's achievement deserve mentioning. In retaliation for Dante enslaving him and sleeping with his wife as part of a deal for freedom which Dante actually honored, a deal that his wife offered, the Assassin kills Dante, travels all the way to Europe to find Dante's home, and kills Dante's father and his love Beatrice. He suffers no consequence for this and gets away scot free while also kick-starting the events of the game in the first place. Love him or hate him, the whole thing is incredibly badass for one man to pull off.

* The end of the boss fight with Cerberus. It starts with the last head of the creature devouring Dante whole, chomping as if it had won the fight...until you see an action command on the screen. Cue beams of light bursting through Cerberus's skin as it squirms in pain, getting brighter and brighter with each button press until '''BANG'''--the head explodes into big, chunky pieces as Dante lands victoriously. In the words of [[TheMatrix Neo]], "Whoa."
