* The reveal of Koji's identity: he is a clone of Jiraiya. Amado managed to get his hands on some DNA of the Sannin, and according ti Isshiki, he cloned him because he was inspired by the legendary ninja.

* Despite clearly being outclassed now, Koji Kashin doesn't back off and fights Isshiki over and over again, even as the Otsutsuki easily shrugs his attacks and mocks him, showing a valiant spirit not dissimiliar to that of his template. And while he ultimely is defeated by Isshiki, he manages to escape.

* Even though Boruto's entire village except for Sarada, Sumire (both of whom are somehow unaffected by Eida's Omnipotence), and Sasuke (whose memories are affected, but chooses to come to Boruto's rescue on behalf of Sarada), Boruto refuses to let this get to him, promising to get stronger so he can face Kawaki instead of despairing about his situation. This frustrates Momoshiki, who was expecting this moment to break Boruto so he can finally take control of his body.

* What does Boruto use to reach Code in the Kara dimension, once the Ten-Tails is located? He uses the Flying Thunder God. That's right, the jutsu invented by the Second Hokage, and made famous by the Fourth, is being used once again, by the latter's grandson. And how did Boruto use it? The toad that was planted on Code in the previous chapter, also carried with himself a pin that Boruto used to teleport.
* At the end of the chapter, it is revealed that Boruto is working with Koji Kashin now. The former inner of Kara and clone of Jiraiya, that had completely disappeared after escaping from Isshiki.

* In only a year after leaving Konoha, Boruto managed to learn almost the techniques that Sasuke could pass him. Sasuke himself compliments him saying that Boruto is a genius.
* We discover how exactly Sasuke ended up trapped in a tree: he and Boruto were ambushed by Code during the timeskip, and despite Sasuke realizing that they could not win, he still manages to injure Code, cutting his left eye. And he tells Boruto to escape, survive and hone the skills he teached him, so to become unstoppable, and he tells him to watch over Sarada for him, before charging at Code and his Claw Grimes one final time. The flashback ends with Boruto silently gazing at the tree that has now appeared and absorbed his master, before taking his sword.
* Amado reveals that he suspects his memories have been altered. Why? Because he has noticed how Kawaki's body is modified with ninja tech, and how his Karma look to be both the result of his work; and as a scientist, memories are only impressions, and the physical evidence is the strongest proof.
** This is impressive, because as Sarada points out in the same chapter, Omnipotence is so strong that even when shown a photo of the Uzumaki family, featuring Boruto, people will still say that Kawaki is the legitimate son of Naruto. Which means that Amado is capable to doubt his memory, and accept that things may not be how he remembers them.

* Mitsuki managing to knock out Kawaki via sneak attack with his snakes, then immediately going for Boruto, turning on his Sage Mode and viciously attacking his former friend. Even if Boruto is unphazed by his attacks, it is still a notable effort from Mitsuki, as he has spend the last three years waiting for the moment where he would face again Boruto, the chapter also ends with a cliffhanger of the 2 former teammates preparing to fight each other.
* One for Shikamaru. Not only he has run the village for three years as an interim Hokage (seemingly refusing to actually take the mantle of Eight Hokage), but after hearing Amado's talk from the previous chapter, he too is starting to doubt his memory. With the help of Ino, he manages to contact Boruto via mind trasfer jutsu (in this way no one can track their conversation), and tries to get his help. He even calls him "Uzumaki Boruto" to try convincing him to listen, and says that things start making sense when he flips Boruto's and Kawaki's positions.
-->Shikamaru: You're actually Uzumaki Boruto, aren't you?\\

* Sarada's first use of Chidori in a real battle gets a well deserved AnimationBump, showcasing her newfound speed and precision in one of the most epic animated presentations of Chidori ever seen.
* The anime having done a lot more to build up Boro's view of himself as a divinely chosen, superior being, makes Momoshiki's awakening and dismissal of him all the more impactful.
-->Momoshiki: Don't get cocky, you inferior creature.

Oops, the space time is also a karma power.

* To say the animated battle of Naruto and Sasuke vs. Jigen was impressive is an understatement. Sporting incredible choreography and animation on par with episode 65, it clearly illustrated just why Jigen is such a deadly opponent while not downplaying Naruto and Sasuke's abilities. Jigen's ages of experience means he keeps up with their every move despite being caught off guard a couple times, and in the end defeats them both without even using any particularly large-scale techniques; as his shrinking, chakra rods, space-time powers, flight and taijutsu mixed with superhuman strength prove enough. Particularly notable is when he hits right through Susanoo, and knocks Naruto out of his full bijuu mode, outright beheading the Kurama chakra form in the process.

* The episode adapts Kawaki's first fight in the manga, and it is gloriously animated, with awesome sequences of hand to hand (or, claw) combat between Kawaki and Garo, and a bigger emphasis on Kawaki struggling to beat his opponent, and then Garo being utterly paralyzed by the fear when Kawaki activates the karma seal and is about to kill him. The artsytle for the episode has also been changed to resemble more Ikemoto's style, as shown by the higher number of details of the character designs. What makes this episode even more awesome is the notion that the fight itself, wasn't one of the most important ones in the manga, it only served to show off Kawaki, and the fact that it has been adapted in this way, paints a good future for the anime, when it will adapt the incoming major fights against Kara.

** And while Jigen seems to make it all look surprisingly easy, Naruto and Sasuke prove they were worthy opponents when Jigen outright collapses to his knees after the confrontation ends, the next episode proving that beating them cost almost all of his chakra and showing he indeed did not have the strength left to actually kill Naruto.
** Jigen declares that next time he and Naruto meet will be the last, and despite being impaled in multiple places and being sealed away, Naruto quite convincingly declares he's going to throw those words back at him.

* Later that same episode, Mitsuki jumps in to attack Kakashi to help free Boruto from being pinned. Despite being way younger and less experienced, Mitsuki matched Kakashi to power in his attack. Even if the latter was holding back, it is still an impressive feat.
