Just when he's about to kill Boruto, the boy suddenly gains a power boost and manages to destroy Boro permanently with a Kama boosted Rasengan. However, there's something not right. Boruto grows a horn and his personality seems different. Almost like...Momoshiki Otsutsuki.

* Even though Boruto's entire village except for Sarada, Sumire (both of whom are somehow unaffected by Eida's Omnipotence), and Sasuke (whose memories are affected, but chooses to come to Boruto's rescue on behalf of Sarada), Boruto refuses to let this get to him, promising to get stronger so he can face Kawaki instead of despairing about his situation. This frustrates Momoshiki, who was expecting this moment to break Boruto so he can finally take control of his body.

* Boruto makes his return to Konohagakure after 3 years to stop Code from attacking Konohagakure and Sarada.

* Sarada defeats the Claw Grimes with Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique and Chidori, showing just how much she's progressed as a ninja. When other people ask if she's even a Genin, Sarada states that ranks don't matter.

* Boruto shows how much he's progressed when he outmatches Code with his new Rasengan: "Uzuhiko" technique. This technique forms around his body and passes onto anyone who attacks him, striking them with the rotation of the planet and leaving them confused and disoriented by vertigo unless Boruto removes the effect. Boruto uses this on Code to disorient and convince him to tell him where the Ten-Tails is.

* The whole Boruto Vs Ao fight goes almost exactly as Boruto planned it. From letting go of his prototype chakra saber so that Ao can grab it to get his chakra absorbed, to make a clone of his equip his Absorbind Device so he could pass for the real one. Ao got fooled from start to finish.
* Kahin Koji's makes his entrance, summons a giant Toad and crush Ao alive.

* New Team 7 takes on Boro. Boro's specialization is a virus filled mist. Said Virus paralyse and eventually kill anyone who breath it. What do they do ? Sarada analyze the Virus composition with her Sharingan, Mitsuki creates an antidote with the blood sample from Boro he collected last chapter and he gives the result to the whole team. Sarada fakes her getting paralyzed by the virus to take a shot at firing a Fire Style to Boro, followed by Boruto & Kawaki's Rasengan Unison which destroys the Inner Kara member. Who then proceed to regenerate in a second.
* After some help from Kawaki, Sarada realizes that despite his regenerative powers, Boro's body must have a weakpoint, and that he is changing the weakpoint with hand signs and that they would need an attack that is ridiculously fast the hit it. What does she do? She bust out a Chidori and DESTROYS Boro's body, taking out the weakpoint in the process.

Just when he's about to kill Boruto, the boy suddenly gains a power boost and manages to destroy Boro permanently with a Kama boosted Rasengan. However, there's something not right. * Kawaki tricks Isshiki into marking a clone, which can't substain the Karma, which means that his last effort to save his life with the creation of a vessel was wasted, and on top of that, the boy reduces him to dust by jumping on his eroding body.

* Another one for Kawaki, with Naruto out of commission, and Sasuke greatly weakened, he is left alone against Momoshiki, who has overtaken Boruto again, and is planning to use him as a sacrifice to the Juubi, however, Kawaki doesn't surrender, and decides to set himself on fire, risking his own life, in order to force Momoshiki to absorb chakra, allowing Boruto to reawaken and free himself from the his control, he succeeds.

* After being beaten down by Code, Boruto subconsciously activates a new form of the Karma, all thanks to the meds he has taken. In this form, Boruto has the same appearence he takes when Momoshiki overatakes his conscious, except that he lacks the horn, and retains control over himself. With this newfound power, he is able to be a more dangerous fighter to Code.

* Momoshiki manages to overtake Boruto once more, and he immediately proceeds to demolish Code, forcing him on the defensive, spamming giant rasengans.
* He even creates his own variant! The Rasen-dan (literally meaning "spiraling bullet"), where he compresses a rasengan down to the dimensions of a small projectile, and shoots it as if he was using a gun.

* Kawaki with his newfound power faces off Momoshiki, in one of the best looking fights in the manga. Using the sukunahikona and daikokuten, the young boy is able to corner Momoshiki at various times, but nontheless, the alien is still capable to put a fight. We heven have a nice shot of the 2 clashing their attacks together!

* The FlashForward of Boruto versus Kawaki. It is implied that [[spoiler:Naruto has been killed by Kawaki]], and Kawaki claims that the age of Ninja is over. However, Boruto claims that he is '''still''' a ninja, as he puts on his headband and gains a blue PowerTattoo on his right arm and face, while also activating his Jōgan. This entire sequence shows that Boruto can, and will become very strong, making the audience invested in his journey towards this pivotal moment.

* Naruto defeats [[spoiler: Delta]], overpowering her [[spoiler:absorbing eye]] with his massive chakra volume. While the fight showed that, yes, advanced ninja tech can be dangerous even for the worlds' strongest shinobi, he is still leagues ahead of them. The fight would have been much easier for him had he used the Kyuubi, but he may have feared changing the topography or harming the nearby kids, so he didn't even bother.

* Shikadai uses his Shadow Imitation Technique to try and catch Metal Lee. Lee escapes, and Inojin distracts him with Ink Beasts... [[spoiler:and then Shikadai reveals himself in the bushes and catches Lee from behind. Turns out the previous Shikadai was Boruto in disguise, and his "shadow" was just a drawing by Inojin!]]
* Metal Lee [[spoiler:starts to break free of the Shadow Imitation Technique by opening the gates, at least 3 gates. He's BARELY AN ACADEMY STUDENT!!!]]

* Sarada vs. Buntan is easily one of the best fights in the show thus far, with Sarada going all Kakashi on Buntan. Their fight had everything: Sharingan genjutsu, [[PowerCopying jutsu copying]], blade clashes, strategy & planning. Ultimately, Buntan digs her own grave by [[spoiler:running a strong electric current in the water, causing ionization, which creates a lot of oxygen and hydrogen. Sarada uses a paper bomb to blow it up, defeating Buntan.]]

* The animators pulled out all the stops to showcase Baryon Mode, made all the more impressive in that taijutsu was the main focus of the battle. Whether it be Naruto's casually incredible reflexes keeping up with and countering everything Isshiki threw at him, or their speed that even Sasuke could barely see, to even a reference to a famous part of the battle between Sasuke and Naruto in the original series (where Naruto hits Sasuke with a series of punches that steadily pushes him into the air). Made all the more awesome in how Naruto's voice gains a heavy reverb as his and Kurama's voices essentially merge together during the battle.

** Jigen declares that next time he and Naruto meet will be the last, and despite being impaled in multiple places and being sealed away, Naruto quite convincingly declares he's going to throw those words back at him.

* To say the animated battle of Naruto and Sasuke vs. Jigen was impressive is an understatement. Sporting incredible choreography and animation on par with episode 65, it clearly illustrated just why Jigen is such a deadly opponent while not downplaying Naruto and Sasuke's abilities. Jigen's ages of experience means he keeps up with their every move despite being caught off guard a couple times, and in the end defeats them both without even using any particularly large-scale techniques; as his shrinking, chakra rods, space-time powers, flight and taijutsu mixed with superhuman strength prove enough. Particularly notable is when he hits right through Susanoo, and knocks Naruto out of his full bijuu mode, outright ''beheading'' the Kurama chakra form in the process.

Sporting incredible choreography and animation on par with episode 65, it clearly illustrated just why Jigen is such a deadly opponent while not downplaying Naruto and Sasuke's abilities. * The episode adapts Kawaki's first fight in the manga, and it is gloriously animated, with awesome sequences of hand to hand (or, claw) combat between Kawaki and Garo, and a bigger emphasis on Kawaki struggling to beat his opponent, and then Garo being utterly paralyzed by the fear when Kawaki activates the karma seal and is about to kill him. The artsytle for the episode has also been changed to resemble more Ikemoto's style, as shown by the higher number of details of the character designs. What makes this episode even more awesome is the notion that the fight itself, wasn't one of the most important ones in the manga, it only served to show off Kawaki, and the fact that it has been adapted in this way, paints a good future for the anime, when it will adapt the incoming major fights against Kara.

* Mitsuki activating some of his Sage Form power to battle his teacher, Shino, in a one-on-one battle. Although, offscreen, Mitsuki can later be seen triumphantly standing over a defeated Shino, who was no weak opponent.
* Later that same episode, Mitsuki jumps in to attack Kakashi to help free Boruto from being pinned. Despite being way younger and less experienced, Mitsuki matched Kakashi to power in his attack. Even if the latter was holding back, it is still an impressive feat.

* Working together the whole class manages to trick Kakashi and get a binding jutsu on him, resulting in them coming pretty close to passing the infamous bell test.

* Boruto proving his status as a prodigy by creating his own version of Naruto's Wind Style: Rasenshuriken with minimal instruction from Kakashi (who passes down Asuma's advice to Naruto's Wind training), figuring out that he can use a Shadow clone to split-up the work of creating the Rasengan and changing it's chakra nature by himself, and pulling it off with just ''one''.

* Boruto has already proven his status as a prodigy by creating his own version Naruto's Wind Style: Rasenshuriken with minimal instruction, however what no one expected is that he would create, yet another version even more powerful. By changing his mindset, he created a new highly compressed Rasengan.
* Sakura training Sarada. It served as a clear reminder that despite the fact she's often overshadowed by Naruto and Sasuke, she is by no means a terrible ninja. Doubles as a heartwarming moment as Sarada develops a greater sense of respect for her mother after facing her.
