* Bolt proving that a dog doesn't have to be genetically altered to have amazing abilities. ** Mittens runs after Bolt to try to convince him to go home again, telling him that she was wrong and that Penny loves him more than anything. Neither of them realize that the stage has caught on fire, or that Penny is trapped inside. Blocks away, Bolt is silent and looks like he's ignoring Mittens' explanations, and finally this happens: --> '''Bolt:''' Shh! --> '''Mittens:''' No, Bolt, you need to hear this! She- --> '''Bolt:''' Mittens, be quiet! --> '''Mittens:''' ''*realizing that he's listening intently to something*'' ...What is it? --> '''Bolt:''' *staring at her in horror* ''Penny.''

* Out of universe, Mark Walton, the voice of Rhino, was a studio employee tapped to record the test track for Rhino, with the expectations that his part would be overdubbed once they found the "real" voice actor. The directors were so impressed with his performance that they decided to keep him as the voice of Rhino. His overwhelmed, excited reaction on the DVD extras is awesome, hilarious and heartwarming.

** The last-second rescue, as well *** Penny's character had just minutes ago been calling for the fake Bolt, not expecting him to hear, and the "character" Bolt arrived anyway. Right before Bolt's return, she was coughing and calling helplessly for ''anyone'' to find her...and, just like he always has, Bolt came. ** And then, of course, the Superbark.
