** The main power of '''Tensa Zangetsu''' is finally revealed, and it's spine-chillingly awesome: rather than give Ichigo a big, flashy attack, all it does is compress its power into its sword...and that compression has the side-effect of making Ichigo ''[[LightningBruiser ludicrously fast]]''. This is an aspect that the anime just can't pull off as well as the manga does, because here Ichigo is damn-near ''teleporting'' [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/b/b6/163Ichigo_evades.png/revision/latest?cb=20200501063005&path-prefix=en between]] [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/f/f1/163Ichigo_attacks.png/revision/latest?cb=20200501063106&path-prefix=en the]] [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/3/3c/163Ichigo_dodges.png/revision/latest?cb=20200501063133&path-prefix=en panels]] on each page, to the point where Byakuya, the resident '''[[FlashStep Shunpo]]''' master, can ''barely'' keep track of him. So Byakuya decides to up the ante by controlling '''Senbonzakura Kageyoshi''' with his hands, which doubles its speed, and it seems he's finally caught Ichigo - then the latter [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/3/31/163Ichigo_dispels.png/revision/latest?cb=20200501063416&path-prefix=en deflects]] '''every single blade''' in '''''seconds''''' by just swinging his sword around at lightning speed, followed by Ichigo appearing behind Byakuya (who had [[TemptingFate previously claimed Ichigo wouldn't be able to pull one over on him again]]) and stabbing at him. * Aizen's words ring even more true when one remembers that the second Ichigo unleashed his bankai Yhwach moved in to break it immediately. The man who had all the power of the Soul King at his disposal, and had spent millennia rebuilding his StoryBreakerPower to become one of the strongest antagonists in the series, ''''feared'''' the terrible power that Ichigo possesses. And as shown at the end of the fight, his wariness was not unwarranted..

* 603: Yhwach's Crowning Moment of Villainy comes as he turns the tide against the Royal Guard and revives his fallen warriors in one fell swoop with a WhamLine of a technique: '''"[[ThePurge Auswählen]]"'''. The anime only enhances this moment by adding an ominous power-up chant, like the '''Kido''' spells get, and having Yhwach gather a massive amount of Reishi to turn into a [[RuleOfSymbolism halo around the greater palace]] before its pillars ''thunder'' down into the Seireitei below and start killing Quincy left and right, as awe-inspiring as it is [[NightmareFuel terrifying]].

* While the anime adaptation of the Thousand Year Blood War arc had already had minor alterations and additions, such as the addition of a minor scene featuring the first anime appearance of Shinji's bankai, episode 26 showed just how far the additions could go with the first appearance, ''period'', of '''Shutara's bankai''' in an awesome scene where the Schutzstaffel have seemingly defeated Squad Zero... only for the latter to rise back up and [[IAmNotLeftHanded state that they haven't even gotten serious yet]]. After the four decide that Shutara will be the one to defeat the Schutzstaffel, the other three promply commit suicide by cutting their own throats, as Shutara explains that each individual Squad Zero member is so powerful, and the potential fallout of releasing that power is so vast, that [[GodzillaThreshold at least three of the others have to be dead]] in order for a Squad Zero member to be allowed to release their Bankai, with hers being ''Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami no Tsuji'', or "Crossing of the Old Woman's Gate, Kāla's Corpse and Thorny Entanglements". Upon activation, the area around Senjumaru is engulfed by darkness while a torii-like structure rises from the ground. Senjumaru then extends her skeletal arms back towards the structure as if in prayer. Emitting iridescent light, the gate then expands to form a massive, golden loom and produces endless swathes of red cloth, one rolling out like a carpet while others envelop the scene akin to a barrier. Just the ''release'' of this bankai is shown to cause noticeable tremors across multiple dimensions, including the Soul Society and the human world. This loom then creates six tapestries that proceed to simultaneously [[CurbstompBattle oneshot]] all of the Schutzstaffel and NoSell all of their attempts at fighting back, in some cases seemingly being tailor made to counter their specific fighting styles, such as Lille's shots being reflected back at him or Pernida being buried in sand that it can't control with its ability.

*** The anime provides a massive and well-deserved expansion/canonical overwrite of this that properly delivers on the threat level of the [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking Royal Guard]]: Nimaiya doesn't stay down like in the manga, but gets almost ''immediately'' revived by Senjumaru so they, Kirinji, and Hikifune can split up into solo fights with the '''Schutzstaffel''', where they proceed to perform evenly against their empowered foes for a time...though ultimately, the various [[StoryBreakerPower broken abilities]] of each member overpower them.
*** But then, they prove just why they're so fearsome: similar to Kenpachi, all four of them have been fighting with a PowerLimiter ''the whole time'', as their '''full''' power is vast enough to actually '''''shake the three worlds''''' when unleashed - and since the '''Schutzstaffel''' have proven too much for that limited power, it's time to release it. The recipient of this boost? [[IronLady Senjumaru]], who has her limiter broken by her three comrades [[HeroicSacrifice killing themselves]] so their souls won't be restricting hers anymore - and proceeds to unleash what might be '''the''' most powerful Bankai in the entire series, a reality-warping fabric loom that ''[[CurbStompBattle effortlessly]]'' traps and brutally defeats the '''Schutzstaffel''', Haschwalth, and Uryū, their empowerment be damned. Now THAT'S how you fix one of the most contentious parts of the story!

** The anime takes this scene to its absolute maximum by having Kenpachi gleefully [[SwordDrag scrape his sword along the ground]] as he leaps up, then just as he reaches the meteor, the colors fade away and Kenpachi briefly shifts into his child appearance, the boy who took on the First Kenpachi and impressed her. Then follows the meteor's ''destruction.'' The English dub even adds him taunting Gremmy at the beginning of the scene:
--->'''Kenpachi:''' Nothin' I can do, huh? Oh come on, [[IronicEcho where's your imagination]]?

* In the Hell Chapter movie, Ichigo finds out that he was tricked into coming to Hell so the villains could force him into his uber-hollow form and break them out. Ichigo is sent back by an emergency spell, but leaves Yuzu, Renji, Rukia and Ishida stranded in Hell, with Yamamoto forbidding him to save them and leaving Ukitake and Toshiro to guard the partially damaged HellGate. After a pep talk from both Byakuya and Orihime, Ichigo shows up at the HellGate with a look that clearly says "I fucking DARE you to try and stop me." The Kushanada showing up provides them with a convenient excuse to ignore him, but you can tell Toshiro was thinking "Nah man. I ''like'' having my spinal cord intact." It's not a fight or a big victory, but it's a great moment that shows that you never want to get in Ichigo's way.

* A moment of Byakuya's occurs in the movie, Memories of Nobody. Rukia was getting her ass handed to her by one of the Dark Ones, things were looking bleak. Then, you saw the blades from Byakuya's bankai rise from the ground, without actually seeing Byakuya. He gives the command, ripping the Dark One to shreds, and then just turns around and mutters over his shoulder something to the effect of "Let's go home." Rukia books to catch up to him.

In fact, it takes her a while to realize her arrow disappeared and Sui-Feng had to call out to her for her to truly realize.
** Also from the movie, Kenpachi and Yachiru were just walking around when suddenly something sharp cut Kenpachi's face. He grabbed the blade and flung it to where the Dark One was hiding. He backed up and bam! Kenpachi was right behind him. Then, he tried to run away, only to be easily caught up with Yachiru, who was laughing the whole time, seeing it as a game.
