** Volume 20:
*** Touma vs Accelerator: Round 2. Accelerator pulls out 100 Black Wings in order to deal with Touma and, unlike their first bout, specifically tries attacking Touma at a distance and launching them in such a way that leaves no safe spots to hide in. Touma still pulls through with clever positioning and strategic use of Imagine Breaker. Its from seeing Touma inexplicably survive that Accelerator suspects that he's developed Precognition.
*** For Touma in the same fight, he gives one of his best speeches yet to break Accelerator out of his BlackAndWhiteInsanity. The best part is that his speech is also directed at himself in order to break out of his funk that came from Fiamma claiming that he's not worthy of being a hero to Index due to how he'd lied about his memory loss.

Kick The Son Of A Bitch is no longer a trope per TRS

** Bonus points for the conversation before the fight, when Awaki assumes she has the upper hand because Accelerator lost his powers. He corrects her, saying he may have gotten weaker, but that doesn't mean she has gotten stronger... while his voice goes from calm to unhinged and he stomps the ground to create a massive shockwave that shatters all the windows in the nearby buildings. Insanity can be so awesome when it's used to KickTheSonOfABitch...

* The first real fight in LightNovel/ACertainMagicalIndex, the one between Stiyl and Touma, is pretty cool in the anime and manga. But in the light novels it's narrated from Stiyl's point of view, and we see how a magician views Touma and why he becomes TheDreaded. At one point, Stiyl seriously thinks he might be fighting God.

** After Mina Mathers (actually a recreation created by Aleister's AI Reading Thoth 78) spent all novel showing him his past and the reason he wants to end all magic, Touma finally faces and fights Aleister Crowley, the mastermind behind Academy City and many of the series' events. Aleister shows off a variety of magic spells worthy of his position as the greates magician in history, while Touma does what he does best; point out the flaws in the enemy's plan and bring them down to earth with help of Imagine Breaker and support from his allies.

** Kaori (somehow able to breath in space) protecting Touma and Index's shuttle from incoming missiles and returns to Earth by falling into the ocean.

Misaka's goes after one, Anti-Skill another and Stiyl the last one (replacing Saten due to the difficulty of the tasks for a Level 0). However, Anti-Skill are pinned down by powerful automated defenses so Accelerator takes over for them.
