* WomenAreWiser: Mostly averted. Of the few relatively sane characters (Cyril, Gilette and Lana) Lana is the most HotBlooded. Played straight when it's just her and Archer, though.

Added DiffLines:

* TortureForFunAndInformation: Archer's style in the episode "Placebo Effect". Highlights include conducting an interrogation in the style of a game show, with "wrong answers" receiving a shotgun blast to the kneecap, and chaining down a mook in order to perform an AssShove with a fragmentation grenade. Bonus: He had Lana record the whole ordeal, then cut the footage into a movie, Terms of En-Rampagement.

* TakingYouWithMe: Archer threatens this in "The Holdout" when the titular Japanese soldier tricks him into falling into a tiger trap with hostile insurgents closing in.Kentaro is unable to run away because, essentially, he's Archer's prisoner right now and is tied to him by a length of rope.
---> Kentaro: You would rather we both die?!
---> Archer: I'm honestly kind of on the fence!

%%* TalkingIsAFreeAction: There are many car chase scenes in which the enemies will pull right up aside the agents, guns ready. Archer will often talk for 5-15 seconds while their enemies wait with dead stares for him to finish, after which they suddenly decide to start shooting.
* TapOnTheHead: Averted in "White Nights". Archer knocks Ray out with a punch, and then comments that he should see a neurologist, because getting knocked unconscious is really unhealthy. The next scene, Ray tells ISIS that he got knocked out, and Lana tells him he should see a neurologist. He already has an appointment.
** Played straight in Coyote Lovely, when Archer accidentally knocks Lana out with the wind-up of a punch meant for Cyril. Cyril says they need to get Lana to hospital, because she at least has a concussion. Archer's response is "So? You get, like, six freebies." Cyril does not believe him.

Added DiffLines:

** When Cheryl sprays disinfectant around the office in "The Double Deuce," Pam snaps, "Would you knock it off, Union Carbide?!" This is a reference to a major real-life chemical company--specifically, the company that operated the Bhopal pesticide plant where a gas leak killed thousands of people.

Added DiffLines:

* UnderStrangeManagement: Most of the employees of [=ISIS=] must have been recruited from the loony bin. Malory Archer runs the place as an AlphaBitch: she's a BadBoss with no patience, no sympathy and no scruples. Her son, Sterling, is an alcoholic Jerkass that happens to excel at melee combat, but not much else. Kreiger is a MadScientist on the payroll, Pam Poovey is an ActionGirl with enough body mass to steamroller opponents, and Cheryl Tunt is a ditzy heiress that tags along just for fun. Poor Cyril Figgis is the OnlySaneMan, and Lana Kane is the OnlySaneWoman. Eventually, their collective incompetence results in the FBI shutting them down, whereupon they take to cocaine trafficking instead, then reform into their old roles under the Figgis Agency.
