* AssholeVictim: Maloja-the shaman from the previous movie-attempts revenge on Goten and Trunks by bringing Broly's blood to Jaguar, which eventually results in creating Bio-Broly. Jaguar and his cousin Men-Men are saved from the resulting destruction, but Maloja isn't as lucky when the acidic culture fluid enters his room and he speaks his last incantation.

* CanonDiscontinuity: Though the film is a NonSerialMovie and therefore non-canon to begin with, Toei and those on their payroll seem ''very'' gunshy to reference its events, even in materials that draw upon the films for inspiration. Video games in particular seem unfond of looking in its direction: for instance, ''VideoGame/DragonBallZBudokaiTenkaichi3'' had the main villains of every ''Z''-era film be playable with the sole exception of Bio-Broly. He didn't appear in a video game until ''VideoGame/DragonBallHeroes'' threw him a bone in 2017.
