** ComicBook/ResurrectionMan series written by his original creators, Creator/DanAbnett and Andy Lanning of ''Comicbook/{{Nova}}'' and ''Comicbook/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy'' fame!

** Comicbook/{{Aquaman}} is getting a new ongoing series written by Creator/GeoffJohns and drawn by Ivan Reis, the team behind ''Green Lantern: Secret Origin''.

** James Robinson's writing a 12-issue series focused on [[Comicbook/{{Starman}} The Shade]]! Woopwoopwoopwoop!

** Comicbook/AnimalMan and Comicbook/SwampThing getting their own ongoings? Yes! They quickly turn out to be among the best series of the entire relaunch? Double yes!
* An issue of The All New WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold with all the Robins, including Stephanie and [[Comicbook/BatmanTheDarkKnightReturns Carrie]]? Yes!

* The New 52 is still missing a ton of characters, and the fans won't be happy until they all appear, but with all the changes can they even all...? Wait, who was ComicBook/LexLuthor talking to in Comicbook/ForeverEvil2013? [[ComicBook/BlueBeetle Thomas Kord, the father of Ted Kord?]]. And it's written by Geoff Johns, the [[UsefulNotes/TheSilverAgeOfComicBooks Silver Age]] lover -- this is promising, very promising.

* The Comicbook/FantasticFour fandom's displeasure with Marvel's [[ExecutiveMeddling current disinterest]] with the team found a reason to cheer when DC announced [[AlternateCompanyEquivalent their own Super Quartet]] ComicBook/TheTerrifics, with the team consisting of Mr. Terrific, ComicBook/PlasticMan, ComicBook/{{Metamorpho}}, and [[UnexpectedCharacter surprisingly]] [[ComicBook/LegionOfSuperHeroes Phantom Girl]].

** [[ComicBook/DarkNightsDeathMetal The sequel event]] is fun as far as "AfterTheEnd leading to SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong" stories go, especially for the focus it's giving long-suffering fan-favourite ComicBook/WallyWest, but then ''Speed Metal'' has Wally West '''retake his position as the lead Flash''' and ''brings back his 90s suit''! HesBack indeed! It's essentially the Flash equivalent of ''ComicBook/GreenLanternRebirth'', even moreso than the ''actual'' Flash ''Rebirth'' story!

* When Brian K. Vaughan announced his departure from ''Comicbook/{{Runaways}}'', there was much speculation as to who the "worthy replacement" he promised could possibly be. It turned out to be Creator/JossWhedon. Unfortunately, Whedon's ''Runaways'' arc was not terribly popular with fans. But at the time, it sure shut up complaints. His replacement Terry Moore on the other hand was more of a QuestionableCasting moment, though.

* Writers under Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso seem to be making a habit of tacitly undoing many of the more unpopular creative decisions made by Alonso's predecessor Creator/JoeQuesada. We have ''Children's Crusade'' and the end of Bendis's ''Avengers'' mentioned above, as well as ''Spider Island'' where, in addition to the aforementioned breakup with Carlie, the [[AWizardDidIt magic spell that prevented anyone from learning Peter's identity]] is undone and Mary Jane admits she's still in love with Peter (although not to his face, unfortunately) after she of all characters had been repeatedly used as a ShipperOnDeck for Peter and Carlie. Also, ''Comicbook/AvengersVsXMen'' issue 9 torpedoes [[spoiler: the [[StrangledByTheRedString much-maligned]] ComicBook/BlackPanther[=/=]ComicBook/{{Storm|MarvelComics}} [[TokenRomance marriage]]]] with a single throwaway line, and {{foreshadowing}} within the same storyline seems to indicate that [[ComicBook/HouseOfM the Decimation]] and possibly the Cyclops/White Queen relationship may be on their way out, too.

* Marvel released a teaser for their post-''Infinity'' status quo. Pfft, they did that for Comicbook/MarvelNOW, so what... Is that [[spoiler: The Amazing Spider-Man? No, I mean ''' ''The'' Amazing Spider-Man?''' He's back? You gotta be... Is that '''[[EnsembleDarkhorse Nightcrawler]]'''? Two of Marvel's most popular characters are comic back after being killed off?]] Ladies, gents, we can officially {{Squee}}
* Oh man, Comicbook/MarvelNOW is so obviously [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse movie]] and [[ComicBook/SuperiorSpiderMan Superior]] dominated it is sort of sicken- Wait, a series of all X-Men girls? Hmm, sort of gimm- Creator/BrianWood?! Better, though Storm is still in that weird new... [[spoiler: ''Jubilee! Jubilee is back!'']]

* The existence of the Jason Rusch run of ''ComicBook/FirestormDCComics'' was full of these, having reappearances by the supporting cast of the Ronnie Raymond days, including: Firehawk, Pohzar/Mikhail Arkadin, and several of the original Firestorm villains (Killer Frost, Multiplex, Typhoon, even Cliff "Thinker" Carmichael). Raymond even came back from the dead in a story arc, and eventually Rusch would be joined by Martin Stein himself to form Firestorm. In one issue, Rusch even makes a veiled fourth wall reference to the fandom rejoicing in his book, as he comments about how he fashioned his costume to look more like the "classic" Firestorm design.

** Demon Knights - ComicBook/{{Etrigan}} series in the Middle Ages, by Creator/PaulCornell? [[IncrediblyLamePun Hell yes]]!

** The realization that Eric Wallace's run on ''[[ComicBook/TeenTitans Titans]]'' is going to be cancelled after August's issue, a run that immediately got off to the wrong start with the death of Ryan Choi and proceeded to get worse as it went on.

* IDW's next big crossover? Between ''Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries'' and ''Franchise/PlanetOfTheApes''. Title? "The [[IncrediblyLamePun Primate Directive]]".

* ComicBook/{{Hawkeye}} getting his own ongoing, written by Matt Fraction and art by David Aja? OK, that's pretty cool but-*Reads first few issues* Marvel, take my money. Now.

** And not just him either. [[spoiler:After being missing in action for way too long, the first family of the Marvel Universe finally makes it comeback! That's right folks! The [[JustForPun four]] and only ComicBook/FantasticFour are back in action!]]

* Following on the well-regarded ''[[ComicBook/GIJoeIDW G.I. Joe A Real American Hero: Saturday Morning Adventures]]'' mini-series, another beloved 80s cartoon incarnation of a MerchandiseDriven multimedia property got one in the same branding, starting just in time for its 35th anniversary: ''Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles''. [[BigYes Turtle Power!]]

** Just when it seemed that the miniseries was TooGoodToLast, an unexpected solicitation for a follow-up called ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures Cont'd!'' came up on February 2023, showing that it became an ongoing series after all.

* ''ComicBook/TheSandman'' prequel, by Creator/NeilGaiman, with JH Williams doing the art for the 25th anniversary in 2013.

* IDW announced [[{{ComicBook/CartoonNetworkSuperSecretCrisisWar}} Super Secret Crisis War]] for June. In other words, a crossover between the characters of [[WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory Dexter's Labroratory]], [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls The Powerpuff Girls]], [[WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack Samurai Jack]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}} Ben 10]], and [[WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy Ed, Edd n Eddy]] with one-shots of other [[Creator/CartoonNetwork Cartoon Network]] shows. Tropers, our life long dream has come true.
