Adding some more examples of characters from the Doom Patrol comics being left out in the live-action show that I just realized haven't been acknowledged here.

Added DiffLines:

** Regarding other characters associated to Dorothy Spinner who don't appear in the television series, there is no sign of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Spinner (who were retroactively established to be adoptive parents in John Arcudi's run) due to the change of [[RelatedInTheAdaptation Niles Caulder being her father]] and her mother being an immortal cavewoman named Slava when Dorothy's birth mother in the comics remained unidentified, and Power Girl and Pythia are omitted in spite of their roles in Dorothy becoming associated with the Doom Patrol in the first place.

Removing more misuses that appear to have this trope mixed up with Demoted To Extra and The Ghost. A character is only Adapted Out if they never appear in the adaptation and have no indication of existing at all. If a character is at least mentioned but never makes a physical appearance, it still counts as the character being included in the adaptation.

** In "[[Recap/TheTwilightZone1985S1E4 Nightcrawlers]]", Price mentions that he has met [[TheVietnamVet four other Vietnam vets]] with the same ability to [[YourMindMakesItReal manifest their thoughts]] but none of them appear. In the short story by Robert R. [=McCammon=], one of them, calling himself Tompkins and claiming to be from a veterans' association, visits Big Bob at his farm about two months after his diner is destroyed.
** In "[[Recap/TheTwilightZone1985S1E6 A Message from Charity]]", the parson of Annes Town in 1700 is only mentioned briefly and is not named. In the short story by William M. Lee, Parson John Hix is a minor supporting character.

Since the other twin is acknowledged, that's not Adapted Out, as this trope is strictly about instances where a character isn't included in the adaptation at all. The character being mentioned at least still counts as the character appearing in the adaptation even if they never make a physical appearance.

* In the original ''Series/GetSmart'' series final season, Max and 99 had twins, a boy and a girl. In the 1995 revival series only the (now adult) son is shown, with only a couple quick mentions of his sister.

* ''Series/LegendsOfTheSuperheroes'', a pair of live-action television specials produced by Creator/HannaBarbera that were loosely based on the ''WesternAnimation/{{Superfriends}}'' cartoon, omitted Superman and Wonder Woman from this continuity's interpretation of the Justice League because Superman had [[Film/SupermanTheMovie his own movie]] released the year prior to the specials airing and [[Series/WonderWoman1975 Wonder Woman's television series]] was airing on a different network (Creator/{{CBS}} rather than Creator/{{NBC}}). Strangely, while the special's version of the LegionOfDoom obviously couldn't use any of Superman's enemies, the villain team still had Wonder Woman's adversary Giganta as a member.

** Most likely due to being a ComicBook/JusticeLeague founder in all continuities post-''ComicBook/{{Flashpoint}}'', ComicBook/{{Cyborg}} is not part of the titular Titans. Interestingly however, he ''is'' a main character in the SpinOff, ''Series/DoomPatrol2019''.
** The team's roster is largely based on the 80s ''New Teen Titans'' comics by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, with the other main exception (after the aforementioned Cyborg) being the omission of Wally West, a.k.a Kid Flash. It's unknown if the character was left out due to his use in the live-action CW ''[[Series/TheFlash2014 Flash]]'' series, or if the producers plan to introduce him in a later season.
** In the original comics, Comicbook/{{Deathstroke}} has two sons named Grant and Joey, with Grant's death being the main reason Deathstroke ended up as an enemy of the Teen Titans in the first place. Grant does not exist in this timeline, and instead it's Joey ([[AdaptationNameChange renamed]] "Jericho") who inadvertently ends up causing Deathstroke's vendetta against the Titans.
