Citizen: Okay, I cut out that whole chunk about Asuna under the "X is not a normal girl" theory, because it just doesn't belong. The others are supposedly ordinary humans, but Asuna is confirmed to be a princess with Magic Cancel (and other exotic abilities) who brought down a bunch of floating islands and hung out with Nagi and crew as their Token Loli, at least by chapter 220, so what more is there to discuss that can't be put on the main Negima page and the character list? ...And similarly with Zazie: we don't know what the heck she is, but—going by the weird shadow creatures if nothing else—she is clearly something.
Dr Rockopolis: I was trying to think of something along the lines of "Negi is the Big Bad". It's not that he's some de-aged version/clone/whatever of Nagi, it's not that learning black magic corrupted him, I think he planned it all from the beginning. It's all a massive Xanatos Gambit to fool everyone else (readers included) into thinking he's just the plucky shonen manga hero.
Dr Rockopolis: Yeah, I was trying to go for a Watchmen joke, not sure if it really turned out too well.
