Ununnilium:

  • This whole theory is actually something that also occurred to me, as well, recently, as I was reading the last three main-story Fables collections (I've been collecting them in batches of 3 or less for like a year, owing to how pricey they are. Stupid lack of disposable income...). Of course, this means that this is one of those universes that has a built-in crossover mechanism for any writer (particularly fanfic writers) to take advantage of. Hell, let's even call it what it is: the mother of all crossover mechanisms, at that. :P (And suddenly I'm almost scared to take a peak at the fanfiction.net section for it... as well as being curiously drawn to it as I was to the one for The Dresden Files or Tru Calling I mean, good God the chance for bizarre metajoke-heavy fiction or crossovers that actually work is so huge... and yet, I have a sinking feeling it will still only be just as much a proof of Sturgeon's Law as any other section on there. Stupid Truth In Sturgeon's Law!). Sidebar: Buffy Summers (and her attendant Slayerettes, Willow, etc.) would be a good defense against the Adversary (her canon already declares she has a crazy-good Healing Factor, so one could only conclude that with the addition of being a Fable whose story is pretty damn popular - including in the fanfiction circles - she'd be about as close to unkillable as Jack or Snow at this rate... oh man, talk about "I hate it when they drown me"...!)... in theory, any way. Oh jeez. Now I'm thinking "Wait, that means River Tam exists in the Fables universe!". BAD brain. Bad. XD Ooh! Another sidebar, which hell, I'll make a new subsection 'cause it's different enough:
  • Is there already a page for, say, Crossover Fodder , for stories like this (and the Marvelverse, DCU, etc.) that have built-in mechanisms to make crossovers insanely easy to do?
  • This adds a whole new meaning to Contractual Immortality! It's not just that writers don't want to kill off popular characters—the popularity is literally keeping those characters alive.

There's no actual WMG in here. ``v Very Conversation In The Main Page-y.

Also, no, no Crossover Fodder page. You should put it on YKTTW!

Document N: I've been thinking about that too. You could call it the Sliding Scale Of Crossover Friendliness, or maybe Crossover Compatibility Categories. Not going to make it, though.
