Chris X: Wait wait. How is Shu... a Marty Stu? Explain to me please?

robodood: Let's see... extremely handsome, holds multiple Ph.D.s by age 22, very clever and manipulative, half-blooded member of La Gias' royalty, has women throwing themselves at him despite not paying them any attention, and pilots one of the most powerful robots ever which of course he designed and had built. Oh, and while being controlled by an evil god, he concocts a plan to have himself killed and resurrected to break his link to said evil god, while using its power to upgrade his already-broken machine. And of course it goes off without a hitch. He's just ridiculous when you think about it. The Original Generations story is just now catching up to the biggest part of his Stu-ness.

Chris X: But at least now Banpresto made 'fun' of his Stu-ness, by making him easier by bounds compared to Dark Brain... Most powerful robot, indeed. Whatever, if he is a Stu, then declare that in the Marty Stu page too. Okay?

Chris X: Deleted the line

  • Actually, subversion, as the Axel in the GBA version of OG 2 has the same personality as in Advance as an enemy.

Because although he has the same personality, his rivalry with Beowulf got exaggerated so much that he even protests of retreating in the face of Beowulf. He is pretty loyal to the Shadow Mirrors in Advance, and follows their plans well enough without protests. That is what fans think to be a difference in his personality. Advance Axel prioritizes the Shadow Mirror's purpose, OG 2 GBA Axel prioritizes his rivalry on Beowulf.

robodood: Deleted the Ensemble Dark Horse listing, since all of the characters listed were main characters, and only one (Kyosuke) was reasonably flat.

Chris X: They're not quite main characters once OG rolls in. Kyosuke-Excellen were mains in Impact, indeed, but it was not until OG 1 where his popularity skyrocketed. And Kyosuke was OFFICIALLY second fiddle to Ryusei, in OG 1 (his route became non-canon), before his popularity became very overwhelming and he became the focus in OG 2. OG Gaiden's main focuses are on Kouta, Folka and Raul. But... well, Kyocellen is still the most popular pairing out there, and I dare you to ask around in forums who are their favorite OG characters. Majority will vote for Kyosuke and/or Excellen.

Charred Knight: SRW only needs one character sheet page

Chris X: You sure? SRW, even its originals, are made of Loads And Loads Of Characters. Sooner or later, even the sheet page will be considered too long. Unless you know how to categorize who's a major character that deserve a bit more explaining or those who can be just thrown into the Miscellanous stuff.

Charred Knight: I would just use the main characters of OG like Ryusei, and Kyosuke, and characters with depth such as Latooni. The rest are largely not deep enough to have character pages.

Chris X: Very well, I'll probably start with Ryusei (Or maybe with the SRX Team in general), Kyosuke-Excellen, Axel-Lamia, Sanger-Elzam, Kusuha-Bullet, and Masaki-Shu for starters, then.

Kay Kay: Because there are so many games, do you think somebody should have pages for the individual games themselves, like the Final Fantasy home page does?

Chris X: I'm all for it... Let's see how you separate the tropes here.

Amadeus Windfall: With so many games, it's likely that most will remain redlinked. I think we should cut down on it - have a page for Alpha, a page for OG, and maybe a page for Z, since that's expected to get sequels, and simply put tropes for the rest in the main page (perhaps leave W, since it's been written up already).

Shale: Since it's the second time I've made the change, just noting that Axel and Alfimi being in Endless Frontier EXCEED really shouldn't be spoiler-tagged, since they're on the freakin' box art.
