I thought it would be good to get something up here, but I encourage beg other tropers to expand and/or refine this entry. I really had no certain idea what to put in or leave out.

Tann: Thanks for the extra stuff, Anonymous Troper!

Thank you for all this page - and launching The Teutonic Knights off the momentum! — Anon

Tann: Much hatred for that Voltaire quote, which was unfair and untrue. Too notorious not to mention, I suppose, but I for one would love to see it demoted from the top of the page, or at least balanced with something more positive. (This is not meant as a reflection on Binaroid, by the way.)

Anon — Given it's also the page quote for Nonindicative Name and appears on People's Republic of Tyranny, feel free to demote to it to being discussed in the article body text - that quote already has enough coverage on this site.

Tann: I did demote it, but retained it. I hope my Presidency of the “I Loathe Voltaire” Fan Club isn’t showing too too much.

Tann: aeiou, I am not sure that anyone ever talked about the Holy Roman Emperor in the sense that The Emperor is used on TV Tropes, except perhaps the citizens of Milan after Barbarossa sacked the place (earning the praise of Dante, by the way, for doing so). The Emperor is usually considered as an evil character, as used here, not the fount of law, justice, and honor that was the ideal of the Emperor in mediaeval and early modern Europe.
