Meems: I was told that shonen-ai isn't used anymore because shonen means a young (preteen-teens) boy... i.e. Shotacon. So what's the real reason for the term change?
Looney Toons: Why is Oyaji Kid considered an opposite to this?
Adonic Meki: I assume Oyaji Kid was meant to be mentioned as an opposite to Adult Child and got put in the wrong entry. LATER: Okay, I just noticed that Oyaji Kid is already mentioned in Adult Child, so I have no idea why it got mentioned in Yaoi Guys.
Looney Toons: If the original contributor can't justify it, and soon, I'm going to nuke it within a few days.
osh: After much thought, the connection IS kinda nebulous. I will say the Oyaji Kid is more likely to not be bishounen at all and overwhelmingly straight, if that counts for anything.
Looney Toons: I still don't buy it; I've removed it.
typhonblue: Please change the image. Not only is it edging into shota territory but the two people read as female. It is possible to find BL images where the men are recognizable as men. Also the examples aren't of BL but of series with BL hints. Finally, in all the time I've been a BL fan I've never seen anything suggesting women comprise only 70% of the fanbase. Most statistics I've seen put the female readership at 95% or higher, with a very small minority of male readers.
Ununnilium: I have to say, those do look like girls. As for the second complaint, there aren't that many pure-BL series out there. >>;

Seth: That looks about standard for Yaoi book covers (My local has a stack of them next to the manga and they all have covers like that) so it works. So that's where the "Gentlemen i give you CORN!" scene comes from... i am disturbed greatly.
typhonblue: Not that many pure BL series? 0_o Just taking a look at the stats compiled by one of the yaoi groups I'm apart of, there are 139 BL titles translated into English. And, of course, many, many more that haven't been translated.
Ununnilium: Manga, yes; anime, no. You're free to add manga examples, of course; the main reason they haven't been is that anime tend to reach a wider audience than manga, and thus, more contributors would've heard of it.
typhonblue: A wider audiance of guys maybe. There are also around 25 BL anime that have been translated into english. BTW, is this restricted to professional translations or does it also include fan efforts? I know at least 10 more BL titles that have been translated (and placed on youtube) by fans.
Ununnilium: My point is, we don't know what they are, if you do, feel free to add them to the entry.
Solandra: Well, we have the Boys' Love article now, so it'd be better to post manga/anime series there and specific yaoi couples here ...At least make it seem that the Boys' Love page has a reason to exist.
Susan Davis: Enju and Gyokuran weren't married in Please Save My Earth. In fact, Enju lost out to Mokuren for Gyokuran's affection... and Gyokuran then lost out to Shion.
Ununnilium: Separated Yaoi Guys and Boys' Love a bit by moving the series that revolve around such relationships to the latter.
