From YKTTW

Ununnilium: I thought the Duck Dodgers episode involved the actual Green Lantern's ring and Sinestro and such.

Seven Seals: "The Green Loontern". Yes, it did. He actually got Hal Jordan's ring due to a mishap at the drycleaner's. Lots of Corps members make cameos, and Hal himself even appears at the end (voiced by none other than Kevin Smith). An Affectionate Parody for sure.

Just for fun, I once wrote a story in which the Hero asks the Villain if they can rule together, and the Villain says no. Do you know of any stories that use this particular subversion? - Ronfar

Avatar: The Last Airbender subverts this in the season 2 finale. Azula takes over the Earth Kingdom capital through a coup, and Zuko is given the choice to rejoin her (and "regain his honour"). He does, despite the leadup in the past several episodes. (Someone with better knowledge of events should do the actual writeup.) - Anonymous

Kilyle: Okay, I'm not sure this is the correct trope, but I want to put Marvel/DC #6 (2 of 2)[1] up on whichever trope it belongs to. Lex Luthor offers Superman a chance to "set things right" and improve the world by going back in time to destroy Stan Lee and thus Marvel Comics, which would get rid of the general trend toward flawed heroes and make sure that kids have only the heroic ideal to look up to. He's pretty convincing in his argument, too.

Does Preacher come into this? Starr wants Jesse Custer to to join him as The Messiah while he is the Man Behind the Man.

Lale: Second quote had nothing to do with the trope.
"Why do I need you, Jerec, when I can take all the power of the Valley myself?"
