What about in James Bond films where you have a single man who is sent to handle a crisis that really should be handled by the combined forces of the world?

Hey, isn't this one used in most major religions to explain God's indifference? Oldest one in the book! — rb

Seth: In a way but this is more of a narrative trope than a Hand Wave as to why there is no evidence of god.

Big T: I'm not sure how what rb and Seth said are related. "God won't prove his existence" and "You broke the world, you fix it" are no where near the same thing. And they aren't common Christian beliefs, AFAIK. (God becomes human, so he doesn't seem like a hands-off type of guy. And God proves his existence quite a lot in theBible....)

Krine: RE: Advent Children entry. "OK seriously, you're spoilering those names? Really?" Yes, really. You may not have noticed this, but Sephiroth is supposed to be DEAD. Also, natter.
