How about Julie from Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.? She even loses parts of clothes trough the course of the game.

Croaker: How about City Of Heroes? It's not exactly third person, more FPS-style, but the default camera position is behind the character, so you can watch them... and a quote I've heard from a friend who plays mostly female characters is "If I have to spend the hours I'm playing this game looking at someone's ass, it's going to be a hot one."

Drow Lord: I used that exact reasoning to get rid of a character as soon as I created him. Giant ass in a suit of armor...*shudder* these days it's either female or Solid Snake.

Incidentally, some of us play male Night Elves. Granted, I also wore robes for thirty levels (as a hunter) but still...

Silent Hunter: I once commented to a friend that Lara Croft was just three million pixels. His response: "But she's three million good pixels!"

Etienne77: Hi, I've been wondering about something. How important is it for the examples on a page to fit the trope?

Take this trope. At first glance it seems to be about 3D games, where you play as a hot female character, basically so you have something interesting to look at while you play. But there's also examples in here for 2D fighting games, which makes both the name and description of this trope ('third person', '3D Platformer') a little misleading.

But even then, there's also Red Alert/Command and Conquer examples here, where the hot girls only appear in life-action cutscenes, and never during gameplay. If that's a good example, then the trope might as well be called 'Fan Service in Games' or something...

I don't particularily care about this trope or anything, I just want to know what I should do in cases like this? Just leave it like that, remove the bad examples, or suggest for the description/name to be changed?

Thanks, Etienne

About the trope image caption: Wouldn't Lara Croft be the Trope Namer if the name "Lara Croft" (or maybe "Tomb Raider") appeared on the name of the trope? Wouldn't Trope Codifier be the more accurate term? (Yes, I know that the caption is humorous, but still...)
