Morgan Wick: I'm tempted to say "No Yu-Gi-Oh reference yet?"

Citizen: You just activated my trap card.

Even if the current image follows the Rule of Cool and shows correctly the idea of Summon Magic I believe this isn't a good one to put in the article. It gives the impression that Summon Magic is used in Suzumiya Haruhi.

Rutee: This article seems like it could use some work. It's split along an arbitrary gameplay difference that isn't a universal split even along its own terminology, and doesn't quite adequately describe summons as we see them in fiction that isn't a game of some sort. I suggest a different delineation of them. Most summons are contracted for some sort of thing. You have Limited contracts; These entities are called to do a specific thing. This may not be instantly carried out. What you often see in fiction is a single task that takes a really, really, long time. For instance, being bound to defend a particular area. You also have extended contracts, where you get the thing to help you out for a while with anything. You don't see this as often in games, though it comes up in games a lot more. In terms of the old split, 'Eastern' would be Limited, and 'Western' would be Extended. It's just.. more general, not so gameplay oriented.
