Uknown Troper: Am I the only one who thinks this trope should be expanded to also include situations when things get so utterly, completely and absolutely stupid/baffling that even the resident Deadpan Snarker can't find words for it and instead just starts gawking, stuttering or screaming with incoherent frustration and rage?
Fire Walk: I'd be fine with that: it has a similar "Even I'm lost for words" things.
Guesss Who: Would the fact that in The DCU you know it's bad if the Joker has stopped laughing fit in here?
fleb: When I saw the trope title, I thought it was about using sarcasm, and other characters taking you seriously, like an inversion of Sarcastic Confession. Like what happened to Bart Simpson that one time. Snark Failure would fit this trope slightly better.
