From YKTTW Working Title: Pop Culture Segregation
The Urban Prince: i added folders as i think this page has potential of becoming rather large.
I missed the YKTTW on this one, but how is this not Fan Myopia with added racism?
The Urban Prince: Pop-Culture Isolation isn't really based in racism (unfortunately there might be some shades of that as well) as it's based in cultural snobbery, or just plain isolation. It also differs because the people within the culture really could care less that it's not popular elsewhere. But yes i do think there's over lap. But this is more or less it's own thing, separate of Fan Myopia. If anything Fan Myopia is a subtrope of this trope.
