From YKTTW Dr. Strange's "Eye of Agawhatnot" medallion.

Cosmetor: It's "Agamotto" and not an example of this trope. It's not a part of his body, it's an amulet that just looks like an eye.

Cosmetor: Has it ever been stated that Mr. Teatime's powers actually come from his eye? I don't believe so.

Daibhid C: GURPS Discworld suggests that it's how he can see things that are supposed to be Invisible to Normals, but beyond that, no.

fleb: I don't think Sauron is an example of this trope. He's a non-physical being, so he doesn't actually have an eye; the Lidless Eye is just a vision that represents his presence, and acts as his insignia. There's no power in the eye.

Prfnoff: Adding it back in, as Tolkien pretty clearly stated (though not in the main text of LotR) that Sauron had a physical form.

fleb: Okay, he does. The last bit of that blurb reinforces my last point, though: There's no power in the eye. It's just a metaphor for his scary and evil will. (The slow-burning Edit War continues.)

Citizen: By Rule of Cool, replacing my old Code Geass pic with a shiny new Kara no Kyoukai one. Technicolor Eyes crossed my mind, but this appearance only shows when she's using her power.
Canon Rap: removed from the Kara no Kyoukai entry:

, even down to their 'origin.'

Because... well, it doesn't make sense. If you can see the lines and make contact, then it's going to be 'ended' no matter what, regardless of how deep the wound is (in fact, it's doubtful that dot-stabbing even leaves wounds, though Ryogi can't see the dot anyway). There is another concept called the Origin in Nasuverse, but that has nothing to do with Death Perception.

Oh wait, no, if the cut isn't completed then it won't die completely... but that's besides the point.
