Hmmm, my first entry, but it doesn't show up on Search....what am I doing wrong?

Sci Vo: Nothing. It just seems to take a few days for new additions to show up in Search.

Thanks!

  • Revlid: In the Fifth Elephant example, it should probably be noted that Inigo did have a spring-out blade hidden in his sleeve, so this is possibly a Justified Trope.
    • Patsy: hardly justified, I'd say. You ever try decapitating someone with a knife? That just changes is from a totally bizarre example of the trope to a fairly typical example. Worth mentioning though.

Also, I took this out:

  • Castlevania subverts this because the main characters are armed with whips. Whips are technically real life examples as they flay skin from bones.
because I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with anything. And, y'know, whips are designed to cause pain. Flaying is incidental.

Rissa: What does the Department of Redundancy Department have to do with all this?

  • The Buffy/Vampire thing confuses me. I never heard that about vampires in Buffy. The titular character can impale things with much ease because she has super-strength.
