From YKTTW:

Ununnilium: Is there a trope entry for the Super Villain Team Up plot? Two or more usually single-episode antagonists work together to try to defeat their common enemy, the heroes.

Red Shoe: I vote for "Legion of Doom"

BT The P: This is partially covered by Rogues Gallery, but the team-up plot deserves its own page. Legion of Doom is a good name.

And Bluetooth The Pirate saw that it was good. And it was so.

Ununnilium: Pulled out:

  • The second Batman movie, by Burton, which teamed up Catwoman, the Pinguin, and newcomer Max Shreck.

...because they never teamed up; all three were constantly working at cross-purposes.

  • The legendary tag team commonly referred to as the Legion of Doom were actually "the Road Warriors." The Legion of Doom was the WCW stable they belonged to.

HeartBurn Kid: Yes and no; that was a stable name in Georgia Championship Wrestling, but long before GCW became WCW, the stable had already imploded and the LOD name basically referred to the Road Warriors and their manager, Paul Ellering. Then they went to the WWF (without Paul at first) and Legion of Doom became their team name, even though individually they were still Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal. In other words, it's complicated.
