Looney Toons: I was certainly debating B5 with myself while making my changes yesterday, and I'm inclined to think yes. The Prisoner — well, I suppose if Twin Peaks makes it in then The Prisoner should, since unlike TP it actually tried to show a solution to the puzzle, as incomprehensible as it was... (Later) Added them.
Susan Davis: Babylon 5 was one of the original examples I was thinking of when I created this, actually; I just forgot to include it.
Susan Davis: Twin Peaks did not create the trope — The Prisoner was decades earlier, and I suppose that literary examples could be found to make this one of The Oldest Ones in the Book.
Looney Toons: Acknowledged. However, it was not necessary to remove the (true) commentary about Twin Peaks' ultimate creative coherence.
jubuttib: Does The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya count? Certainly not if you watch the episodes chronologically, but the original airing order was highly out of order.
