Getty Le Fou: Forgive me for being pianzhi de, but writing the word as "suo-SHEE" still bothers me. Imagine being a Spanish-speaker and seeing someone write, "No way, Hozay!" Or a French-speaker reading, "Say la vee!" It's like that. I'm not going to change it, because it's not worth starting an edit war, but I feel I have to put this out there. (Hanyu Pinyin would write it suoxi, while that other Pinyin would write it suosi and Wade-Giles would write it sohsi. In these systems, sh represents a completely different sound.)
