In Battlefield 2, you can actually get "killed" by artillery rounds and some other things. That will make it impossible to be revived.

I deleted the Dragonball Z reference because the person fundamentally misunderstood the senzu bean. Their main property is full regeneration and restoration of the body - the SIDE-EFFECT is not needing to eat for a few days thanks to the magic.

Tola:

The X-Com series (Sold as UFO Defense in Europe)

Incorrect. It was called 'X-Com: UFO Defence' in America only. In Europe it was sold as 'UFO: Enemy Unknown'.

Travis Wells: I swapped out the sploid link for the redcross.ca link cause sploid doesn't seem to be the accessible at the moment.

Trigger Loaded: I'm going to be/will have taken most of the examples on this page that deal with food healing you and sticking it in my Hyperactive Metabolism Trope page. Hope this doesn't violate some unspoken oath among Tropers.

Krine say: Took out the first Metal Gear reference and incorporated what wasn't Critical Existence Failure into the reference on the bottom... and inserted a smart-assed comment, but that's neither here nor there.

"As a side note, the Red Cross organization has been raising some legal issues over the repeated use of their trademarked logo on health items in video games. See this article from the Canadian Red Cross. The generic logo for "First Aid" in reality is a white cross on a green field; it's not clear where the confusion began, but it's a serious issue. "

Jaberwock say: The reason first aid kits in reality use a white cross on a green field, or a green cross on a white field, etc, it because the red cross on a white background is protected internationally by the Geneva Convention. Hence any commercially produced first aid kits/signs not directly affiliated with the regional Red Cross Society cannot legally use the red cross logo. The complaint about games was ones where health powerups were depicted as red crosses.
