Bluetooth The Pirate: I wasn't sure wether or not to include the Hermans Head device here. It is definitely derived from this trope, but the Good Angel, Bad Angel scenario is very specific in its implementation. The Hermans Head device has been used many times since Hermans Head, just not as a series concept, i.e. Monk's dreams about Trudy, Mr. Garrison meeting his Gay side in the wilderness. Any thoughts?

Rosybloom: Christopher Marlowe uses this trope in Dr. Faustus. He even calls them Good/Bad Angel. It is one of The Oldest Ones In The Book.

Red Shoe: Don't overlook Ghost in the Machine.

Gus: pulled the ani over here, as it makes it hard to read the text.

The Good Angel and the Bad Angel..Excel Saga style!

Jordan: Does it count that the villain in the Discworld novel, Night Watch, is described as having a devil on both shoulders, working together and egging him on?

Ununnilium: Yes.

Medinoc: That's it, one webcomic example too many. I'm really considering adding this to the Webcomic tropes index...

Ununnilium: Sure! *does it*

Noaqiyeum: So, umm, what IS the myth of Hercules at the crossroads, exactly? I consider myself fairly well-versed in Greek mythology and I've never heard of it.
SeanTucker: I remember reading a story on http://www.fictionpress.com/ a few years ago that was about a high-school student who had two devils, both of which could affect the real world. This was illustrated by one of them making the chemistry teacher's eyes fall out during a lecture, I think. Whenever the student tried to explain WTF was going on, he was told he was batshit crazy. Can anyone help me find this story?
Honore DB: *snerk*
