//First ref to CL on this wiki, I guess — Ungvichian

Ununnilium: Nope, it's been used in Reset Button and Mind-Control Eyes, at least.

//Is it sad that after all these years, I still remember this plot line from this show? (And an ep where Herman buys a used computer, and it ends with him getting a box of broccoli ;) And yet another ep where he goes to a French restaurant, and he ends up paying with his watch) — Ungvichian

Ununnilium: Ungvichian, please put the comments on the discussion page. >>; It makes the main page look messy.

Burai: For the record, the last Darkman film with Liam "Qui Gon" Neeson was, well, Darkman. Darkman III (and II for that matter) featured Arnold "Imhotep" Vosloo in the role instead. (Hence, entry duly edited.)

TJ Devil 02: Does Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade count? Indy's Girl of the Movie is hanging on for dear life over a cliff, but thinks she can reach the grail. Indy is offering a hand to help, but she reaches for the grail instead and plummets to her death. Naturally, events conspire for Indy to find himself faced with the same situation, but Indy's father talks him into accepting his help — by finally calling him by the preferred nickname of Indiana (he'd addressed Indy by his given name of Henry for the whole movie).

Alex Churchill: Could this be moved to Friend-or-Idol Decision? "Friend Oridol Decision" looks like a decision between a Friend and an Oridol :-/

Sniffnoy: Capitalization is irrelevant. Friend-or-Idol Decision and Friend Oridol Decision are the same thing; it will display as whichever you enter.

Fire Walk: Cutting Conversation In The Main Page:
  • It should be noted that Yoda shouldn't have had much trouble picking a third option: the ship Dooku is boarding looks much flimsier than the honking great metal pillar that Yoda is holding in the air, with his immense Force power, at a distance of just a few feet... One would think a simple hand wave would be enough to hurl the pillar into Dooku's ship, sending both crashing down in the dunes of Geonosis and quickly ending the war. But then, how to explain the plot that goes on for four more movies?
    • Dude, being able to *hold up* an extremely heavy object and being able to *throw* it are two completely different things. Yoda's "immense" Force power was extremely strained trying to even hold it up — he looked like he was in physical pain, and it took the last of his strength to move it aside, after which he collapsed. If Yoda — or anybody — *could* pick up several-ton objects and fling them at a whim, lightsaber battles between Jedi would look completely different than they do.

ccoa: Removed the following example:

  • In part two the Avatar The Last Airbender episode "The Boiling Rock": Azula isn't exactly Mai's idol, but she is forced to choose between staying in her favor and Zuko. She chooses the latter, thus Ty Lee is forced to choose between Azula and Mai. In the end, Azula's Power Trio is disbanded.

Seems like an attempt to shoehorn more Avatar examples into the wiki. This doesn't fit the model of the trope at all - neither character is choosing between the life of a friend and something they've sought for some time.
