Fanti Sci: Oh dear. Look, I really, really hate to pull the holier-than-thou card here, but can the edits be kept a bit more objective? This Kaleido Star edit has a ring of "my opinion's more valid than yours" (possibly entirely unintentional, but still) and the basic point of the example stands - Sora's belief that Layla has betrayed/abandoned her has an adverse effect on her mental state. These are meant to be wiki entries, not an excuse to take a swipe at someone else's opinion, so argue the point here, rather than do the "the above troper is a moron" thing. I agree that May Wong is not technically a Mary Sue, but it's nothing to start a Flame War over. I've put the edit here, if someone can reshape it into a more neutral (and less Justifying Edit) form:
- Uhm, no. Layla had practically gone out of her way to make sure Sora got the spot for the Festival, even speaking to Yuri to let her use the wildcard he had, but Sora's Heroic BSoD didn't. At that point, Layla did NOT know that she was makinmg things harder for Sora, and she later expressed regret on having done so when speaking to Fool. Not to mention, seems the troper above is throwing around the Mary Sue title FAR too easily just to mouth off their hatred of May Wong, since May had to work her ass off to win her spot for the Circus Festival after her Break the Haughty episode, and she ALSO got Layla telling her that she still had a LONG way to go... by putting Sora as an example to follow.
