Working Title: Base Building: From YKTTW
Darth Fanboy: I would propose adding this◊ as the page image here.
Prfnoff: Don't think that's a suitable image. And I removed this◊, which is really too ugly to be the page image.
Seven Seals: The "Aldaris" image isn't suitable, but damn if it wasn't the first image I thought of as well.
Prfnoff: Natter-like material pulled from the Starcraft example:
- Bonus points for anyone smarmy enough to plant a unit-producing building in an enemy base.
- Which is an actual tactic, called a proxy (proximity). Usually tends to be a cheese (do or die manouver)
Fallingwater: quoting from the main article: "Having fixed defenses, like turreted cannons for base defense or silo-based SA Ms. " <— Why is this unrealistic? Pillboxes, bunkers, machinegun nests and semi-fixed rocket/anti-vehicle emplacements do exist in reality. The only difference is that videogame examples are usually (though not always) controlled by some kind of robotic AI instead of a soldier.
Aldaris: Although I don't have much to add to this discussion, my nickname means I have to say that You Must Construct Additional Pylons.
