Working Title: Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: From YKTTW

Nobodymuch: How does Light Yagami fit? He is of course actually an opponent of the team he eventually pretends to join, but he never switches allegiances.

Nerdorama: Examples of this trope can and often are really in it for themselves alone the whole time. Light qualifies because he has no qualms about sacrificing or betraying anyone, be they his allies, supporters, enemies, or neutral parties.

Charred Knight: I added a paragraph on the real life General Lu Bu who did this shit. Its huge since I also mentioned changes made in Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Occasional Lurker: Shouldn't Joker be here, in the comic book section atleast? He frequently betrays people he works with, with examples like the Dark Victory, where Joker shoots Two Face just when he thinks he's won, or about half of Luthor-Joker team-ups. A more recent example could be when the Joker killed a magician who helped him after the Clown Prince of Crime had been in a car accident. Even the animated versions screw people over, even the new one, as in a recent episode (End of Batman) Joker ends up gassing Wrath and Scorn, the villains of the week, even though they had been allies. And of course he screws people over in Dark Knight too, completely cheating the crime bosses, for starters.

Hydro Globus: New picture! I hope you like it... though it was squeezed a bit to fit in 350px width...
