Black And White Morality launched as Black And White Morality Discussion: From YKTTW

Working Title: Black And White Morality - revised version: From YKTTW

Peteman: Um... Wheel of Time is pretty much Black and Gray Morality. Sure the Shadow is filled with baby eating psychopaths who pretty much joined to either satiate their egos or to engage in behavior unbound by any morality, but plenty of worshipers of the Light are pretty much psychotic rabble who're using their siding with The Dragon to indulge their own insane behavior or are Spanish Inquisition Expy's

Silver2195: Removed Harry Potter and Avatar because, as noted in the Natter, they're kind of weak examples.

Vampire Buddha: I restored Avatar because it is an example; the people writing the natter seemed to have conflated this trope with Always Chaotic Evil, when in fact they're separate (though often occur together). I write it in a hopefully clearer manner.

Elihu: I took it away because it is too murky to be generalized. There is quite a bit a gray, especially as they enter enemy territory. Mercenaries look out for themselves, Fire Nation victims can be just as cruel(Hama, Chin the Great and the Mayor), enemy civilians and soldiers are portrayed as humans (albeit misguided ones), and the titular protagonist struggles with a decision to kill the enemy leader. The first sentence below is already generalizing too much to place the show in Black-and-White Morality elements with "pure evil." Yes, I agree it frequently subverts Always Choatic Evil, but the heroes are just as much a part of determining the Black-and-White Morality.

I also removed this bit because it's not true. Some people just don't like to admit their favourite show contains a trope viewed as childish, even when it's aimed at children.

that any examples of black-and-white morality presented here are subject to opinion.
