Describe Blade Runner Discussion here.

Where the heck did "Rape is Love" come from? I haven't seen the movie in a while, but I'm pretty sure that the sex between Decker and Rachel was consensual. MAYBE there is some SlapSlapKiss but even that is pushing it.

I find it hard to believe the Adaptation Distillation point of Philip K. Dick liking the movie better than his book, he died before the movie came out.

Unknown Troper: Agreed. It isn't even explicit that they had sex at all (though it is implied). On top of that, though Deckard was bastardly aggressive in making his move, it didn't take Rachel long to 'consent'. To kissing him. Rape just doesn't come into it. Shouldn't the example be deleted?

Silent Hunter: I can see why this influenced Cyberpunk- I kept being reminded of Firefly throughout.
