Willbyr: Is there a "bus" trope that would adequately cover why so many of the principal characters' final fates are not revealed?
macroscopic: Cut this, unless Pud Withers is supposed to be an Audience Surrogate:
- This Loser Is You — Pud Withers. Says the Word of God in the opening notes to Jaka's Story "Much of the comics-reading community is composed of fellows very like Pud Withers". (Pud was described as a "Lecherous Mama's Boy" a couple of paragraphs back.) Of course, this being Dave Sim, he goes on to complain that the fandom's suckness is all their mothers' fault, and that said mothers cause (eventual) rape by being too uppity. Taste the misogyny!
