Killer Clowns: So... what IS Bowser's Alignment? Alignment is a very Subjective Trope, to be sure, but I'd say he's jumped all over the alignment scale. His ambitions to Take Over the World are quite Lawful Evil, but during Enemy Mine situations, where he gets the most Character Development, he seems more Chaotic Neutral than anything, eagerly Cutting the Knot at any chance and engaging in Card Carrying Villainy at every excuse, but generally avoiding truly evil acts. Personally, I'd call Bowser a Chaotic Neutral character who really, really wants to be Lawful Evil, but mostly fails.
