[[folder:{{Canon Foreigner}}s (that have not appeared in video games at all)]]
Appeared in the ''Donkey Kong Jr.'' segments of ''WesternAnimation/SaturdaySupercade''. He is a biker who befriended Donkey Kong Junior and joined his quest to find his father.

Tropes associated with Bones:
* [[KnownOnlyByTheirNickname Known Only by His Nickname]]: Obviously, Bones is not his real name.

A talking dog who traveled with the Mario Bros. in ''Anime/TheGreatMissionToSavePrincessPeach''. It turned out he was Haru-ōji, a prince from a neighboring kingdom whom Bowser had turned into a dog because he owned the other brooch, signifying that he is destined to be with Peach.

Tropes associated with Kibidango:
%%* BalefulPolymorph
%%* {{Bishonen}}

!!Mushroom King
->''"Excuse me, everybody! I just closed the peanut butter jar on my tie. Can somebody help me?"''

Princess Peach's dim-witted father, who is mentioned in the English version of the instruction book for the original ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1'', but never seen in the games. He does appear in the Valiant comics as well as the ''Literature/NintendoAdventureBooks''.

Tropes associated with the Mushroom King:
* TheDitz: Lampshaded in "Duh Stoopid Bomb!", where said weapon has no effect on the king because he's already as stupid as he can get.
* {{Expy}}: In the Valiant comics, he's based off the kings from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros3'', as he plays a similar role in the (having a magic wand that is often taken by Bowser's forces and being transformed into various animals). He also resembles the King of Grass Land.[[note]]Likely taking cue from ''WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfSuperMarioBros3'' where the Grass Land map shows up as the opening curtain when the Mushroom Kingdom is the episode's main setting.[[/note]]
* PointyHairedBoss: How he usually acts towards Wooster.

The "royal mushroom assistant" (contrasting Toad's job as the "royal mushroom retainer"), which unfortunately means he does just about everything for the king rather than the princess.

Tropes associated with Wooster:
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* FakeDefector: Wooster appears to pull a FaceHeelTurn in one comic, but instead he was just stuffing Bowser and his minions so much they all fell asleep for a period of time.
* TheJeeves: We don't know if he has a British accent or not, but he gives the impression of one.
%%* NeatFreak
%%* OnlySaneMan
%%* ServileSnarker
* ShoutOut: He is almost certainly this to the Literature/JeevesAndWooster stories; he has the personality of the former and the name of the latter.

!!Stanley the Talking Fish
->''[[MostAnnoyingSound “Hi! I'm Stanley the Talking Fish!”]]''

A pink [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin talking fish]] wearing a gaudy bow tie who shows up in a few of the Valiant Mario comics. Resented in-universe for generally being a huge pain in the tail for everyone he decides to address.

Tropes associated with Stanley:
* CasanovaWannabe: The other reason why few can stand him. At least twice, he's in two relationships at the same time.
* InterspeciesRomance: His first appearance has a cross KINGDOM relationship, with Stanley being in love with a talking bush. He later has the hots for a jellyfish and Wendy as well. He does seem to end up with Bertha, though, who is a fish.
* KarmaHoudini: For all the problems he's caused, his last appearance has him in a relationship. That was helped along by him playing Wendy as the one coming on to him when he was the one who was hitting on her.
* PairTheSpares: Invoked, Stanley tries to set Mario up with Bertha so he can get her out of his [[strike:hair]] fins and spend time with a new girlfriend. HilarityEnsues
* TheScrappy: In-universe. To the point where Mario and Wendy call a truce to say "mean and nasty things" about him after Wendy has a run-in with him.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Every appearance. The main reason why he's so hated in-universe.

!!Herman Smirch
Appeared in the GameBoy comics.
* DemotedToExtra: He became less prominent as the series went on.
%%* {{Jerkass}}
* WeakWilled: The reason why Tatanga decided to use Herman as his agent on Earth.

A blond caveboy who appeared in the ''WesternAnimation/SuperMarioWorld'' cartoon.

Tropes associated with Oogtar:
%%* BrattyHalfPint
* HulkSpeak: Not a terrible example, but he can speak this way sometimes along with the other cavepeople.
* MeaningfulName: Not exactly, but Bowser did once say that "Oogtar [[SdrawkcabName spelled backwards]] is rat goo!"
** Lemmy and Iggy also once said, "Cross Oogtar with ugly and get Oogly!"
* TotallyRadical: He speaks surfer slang with phrases related to cavemen and dinosaurs.

!!Friendly Floyd
Appeared in the ''{{ComicBook/Super Mario Adventures}}'' comic.

Tropes associated with Friendly Floyd:
%%* AlliterativeName
%%* EyesAlwaysShut
* HonestJohnsDealership: The Yoshi translation book he sold to the Marios (which we should mention was [[AcmeProducts an Acme product]]) turned out to be pretty useless, since pretty much everything boiled down to PokemonSpeak. He does, however, prove invaluable when he supplied Princess Peach with bombs for her attack on the Koopalings.
* {{Omniglot}}: Floyd can apparently translate Yoshi (maybe). Later, when the Bros. reach Bowser's moat, their old friend Floyd is here too, selling lipstick to a female Piranha Plant.
* PerpetualSmiler: Only briefly subverted when the Princess unveils her "[[TrojanHorse pizza]]" -- a cartful of bombs. Floyd looks appropriately scared out of his wits.
%%* {{Traveling|Salesman}} SnakeOilSalesman

King Koopa's assistant and lover in the [[Film/SuperMarioBros live-action movie]].

Tropes associated with Lena:
* DepravedBisexual: According to WordOfGod, she shows interest in both Koopa and Daisy.
* {{Expy}}: She may be partially based on Wendy O. Koopa, who's jealous of the princess.
* GreenEyedMonster: She's intensely jealous of Daisy and Koopa's interest in her.
* HoistByHerOwnPetard: She ends up literally fossilized by the very power she tried to use to merge dimensions.
* ItsAllAboutMe
* PowerFist: She wears brass knuckles for her final outfit, which she uses to shove a man aside by grabbing his face.
* TheStarscream: She eventually becomes this in the second half of the film, when, after a failed attempt to get Koopa to reconsider focusing on Daisy, she decides to betray him and achieve her goals on her own.
