A little overrated
I'm a huge fan of basically everything Gaiman's had a hand in, but after watching this all I can really say is... eh. It's necessarily bad, it's just not really good. The CGI etcetera does have a nice dreamlike quality, but the script is nearly as funny or clever as it thinks it is, the characters are very flat and the pacing is horrendous. However, the visual elements are really good, but I don't think that was enough to save the movie for me. So in all honesty, I don't really get why the film gets so much praise, it's easily Gaiman's weakest work. Doubt I'll see it again. If you want my advice, just go re-read Sandman instead.
