FanficRecs Chanson De Geste
Seconded. The fic itself handles some dark and occasionally very disturbing material, but the courtroom scene alone is worth the price of admission.

FanficRecs OP's review
Dark Fic, complex, and twisting. Manages to provide a surprisingly sympathetic Jadis whilst not losing sight of her being a mass murdering psychopath.
FanficRecs The best fanfic I've ever read
I've been reading fanfics for years and I've read hundreds of them if not thousands. All of LVDB's stories are at least good, but Chanson de Geste is something else. Like usual, LVDB is great at dialogue but Chanson de Geste also shines in the realism of its medieval-like history and politics and the excellently developed characters and relationships, particularly between Edmund and Jadis.
