Reviews: Avatar The Last Firebender

Night's review

There is a basic problem with this story, at least insofar as I've read it. Azula's still the same old Magnificent Bitch we all knew from before and she's the viewpoint character. And therein lies the problem: Azula is relentlessly unlikeable and you're going to get an overdose of it. It's worth holding onto for its other qualities, but be prepared to struggle a bit.

Ryan Lohner's review

Like Distorted Reality, there's some great thought put into what the characters would be like with a different upbringing, while still keeping everyone recognizably themselves. The setup is quite creative and really makes you wonder how they can possibly win without the Avatar's help.
