I read this and found myself partially ignoring the actual story and just reading the parts inbetween of (Alternate) Kirk's E-mail to (Prime) Spock, which is pretty funny if you don't jump between them as it seems they are continuingly random and odd but, read one after another they make sense. It seems as if the E-mail segments are meant to be (Prime) Spock reading it as he asks (Alternate) Kirk to tell him about 'This incident with the door'. So, I over all love it... and no, I am not a sentimental jerk...
