This is a continuation of the Forgotten Portrait ending, based on one of the stories of the author's series of epilogues. It's has a very good characterization, it really has the feeling of the original series and lots of callbacks to the original game, but it has edgier moments, like the part with The Council.
The fic also has an important OC, Evelyn the museum's curator and she makes a nice foil to Ib, while she searches for Garry and tries to go back to their world. Guertena also appears as the gamemaster this time and so Mary also returns, creepier than ever. Definitely worth a read!
