This fic is a very well-written Poland/Lithuania fic, but it also does a wonderful job showing how different Lithuania was in the past, before he ended up so scared and broken. The author's descriptions of the modern world through Commonwealth!Lithuania's eyes are fantastic, as are Lithuania's mental comparisons between life in the 1500s (when battles and fighting were the primary course of action) and present times (when much emphasis is put on trade and alliances).
