I'm a little conflicted on how to review this story. On the one hand, it's got a gary-stu OC who shows up as one of the pilots, a lot of character bashing (moreso in the earlier chapters than in later ones), a somewhat out-of-character Ranma, and it hasn't been updated in several years. Still, this story has a fantastic original setting—NERV as it would have been in the 1950s—and plot, a broad ensemble cast featuring Nabiki as the main character (so take what's said about the gary-stu OC with a grain of salt; there's plenty of other characters who get just as much or more time in the limelight), and some very interesting and imaginative new takes on the source material. I'd rate this as a solid story with a good number of flaws, but enough good points to cancel those out and make it still worth a read.
