You might have heard or read of fic where Naruto suddenly gains a powerful bloodline, wipe out all competition, and become a living god.
That is not that story.
While Naruto gains an extremely powerful and useful ability, the author added multiple downsides and limitations that makes the Dojutsu actually very dangerous to use and avoids a Gary Stu situation. And the competition is quite rude. For example Orochimaru is still too strong to be beaten and is coveting the bloodline for himself, Gaara is still a dangerous threat, and another experienced person has a cousin Dojutsu and is out to kill Naruto.
Also notable for increasing Sakura and Iruka's powers early.
So, it mind sounds cliche, but really, it isn't. The hero is not a God Mode Sue, and the situation is played realistically. A good story.
