From the original reccer

So this is basically my cliff-notes version of my review on the site, but here's my reason for recommending this story.

My first major point is that Draco manages to remain his cowardly, self absorbed insensitive self and still come off as more then what Harry sees. Theodore Nott is given just enough definition to perform his roll, and that's really the beauty of his characterization there.

Technically it's very well written, great use of repetition, good character development through action, dialogue and the description proper and great story progression. Emotionally it's like a punch to the gut, all because of these things. I also didn't notice any glaring errors in the syntax, though that doesn't mean there aren't any, I may well have failed to notice them.

I suppose my only critiques are that the flow is interrupted between the scenes, the author uses lyrics to try and set the tone and while it works at some points at others I just skipped over them.

Over all, I love this fic and gladly recommend it to anyone who likes either character driven works or things that focus on little-known characters.
