Half the movie is worth watching

The first half of this movie is a funny and surprisingly touching story, not only about a superhero cleaning up his act, but a deeply broken man learning how to care again. It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry, it'll move you.

And then they introduce a second super, and it's all downhill from there. Touching story evaporates for the old, tired cliches.

I know, right? I saw all the trailers and I was excited to see a cool deconstruction of the superhero archetype about a superhero who's actually just a bum and a jerk, and a public relations agent who tries to clean him up. That's the movie I was interested in! And then halfway through, PSHOOM! Nope! Now it's about plotholes and stupid crap about angels or something, I don't even know, it was dumb.

Rhymes with "Protracted."
