A big YMMV for me. It's not that it isn't extremely well written; it is. It's just that I didn't quite buy the premise that simply losing his father instead of his mother would change Sokka this drastically, that it would turn him into something so bitter, twisted, and callous. Plus, the main characters Sokka and Azula are just too unlikeable. I just don't want to read their story, any more than I would want to read Hitler's autobiography.
