The definitive G.I. Joe canon

It is a testament to Larry Hama's skill that his comic book series became the definitive version instead of more widely seen cartoon series like other franchises.

The series from #11-86 is everything a non-superhero comic book series should (#1-10 was mostly all one-shots, and the rest of the series became dregs what with the bad art of issues #87 and #88 and the ridiculous dark overkilling of Joes around #110). Believable characters, believable stories. The Special Missions issues were also solid one-shots that allowed Hama to do more experimenting.

It is a shame that the wackiness of some of the new Joes of the 90s came along; perhaps the series wouldn't have ended when it did.
