The characterisation of Toph in these fics is excellent. Whatever you do, do not miss out on chapter 6. In fact, I recommend skipping right to it if you don't have time to read all of it. That chapter alone is worth the price of entry, and is one of the most touching and beautiful pieces of Avatar fiction I have ever read.
